Understanding social networking.


By now, you should know how important using social networking sites are to your job search. Since more and more companies do their recruiting online, having vibrant and active social networking profiles gives you the chance to make sure that when an employer searches the internet for information about you, they will find plenty of reason why you would be a great fit for their job opening.


But with so many different social networking sites, it's hard to know which sites to use and how to use them. When should you tweet and what should you put on your Linkedin profile? If you're confused about the differences between the many popular networks, you aren't alone. In fact, the digital marketing firm, Three Ships Media came up with the funniest and best way to tell the difference. Instantly it captured the internet's attention and has become a popular meme. I thought it was great and wanted to share it with you:
